Change Result/Status

The Change Result/Status is crucial for evaluating the outcome of the change initiative after its implementation. It provides a clear overview of how the change has been received and whether it has met its objectives.

The status of a change can fall into one of four categories:

  1. Successful - No Problems: This indicates that the change was implemented smoothly without any issues. Stakeholders have embraced the new processes or systems, and the desired outcomes have been achieved without complications.

  2. Successful - Problems Encountered but Mitigated: While challenges arose during the implementation, effective strategies were employed to address these issues. For instance, roll-forward steps may have been added to the change process to enhance its effectiveness and ensure successful integration.

  3. Unsuccessful - Roll-back Plan Conducted Successfully: This status reflects a situation where the change did not yield the expected results, but a roll-back plan was executed effectively. The organisation reverted to the previous state, minimising disruptions and allowing for further evaluation and planning.

  4. Unsuccessful—Unable to Roll Back: In some cases, changes cannot be reversed due to various factors, such as system dependencies or stakeholder resistance. This status indicates that the change initiative has failed without a clear path to return to the original state, necessitating a thorough review and potentially new strategies.
